The unique placement of the Midrange control before the gain stages produces harmonically rich, thick midrange tones or a severe cut for that scooped, doom sound. The Gain toggle allows for switching between LED, asymmetrical silicon/LED, or no diodes for three distinct clipping options and the High Gain mode switches in the second gain stage for thunderous distortion and liquid, sustaining leads. The clean signal can also be blended with the distorted tone via the Mix knob. The Dr. Scientist Elements is built tough with a 4 layer PCB, an expression pedal jack (for controlling the blend), and soft touch true bypass relay switching.
