The StrideRightMats pitching target can be used as part of our StrideRightMats training system and is also a great stand alone pitching target. As a pitcher you want to aim small so that you miss small. Our labeled grid allows pitchers to laser in on a cross-hair section on the design or aim for a small box. Other pitching targets fail to have labeled areas outside of the strike zone. However, sometimes you want to aim your pitches outside the strike zone and have hitters chase. As the saying goes, good pitchers “make their strikes look like balls and make their balls look like strikes.” When combined with our StrideRight Pitching Mats, the pitching lanes directly correlate with the lanes on the StrideRight Pitching Target. Meaning when a pitchers plant foot lands they can see how their pitches work across the pitching lanes. For the perfect height on the strike zone the mat is to be hung so that it barely touches the ground. With your purchase comes 2 bungee cables and the mat has 2 grommet holes at the top of the mat so it is easily hung onto netting. The mat will also save your netting from wear. It also serves a satisfying low thud noise when bringing the heat. A great mat to train with whenever you do not have a catcher available or want to fine tune fundamentals.
